:: News from the Volunteering Development Project
SVSN has worked with the Volunteer Centres, CVSs and other organisations involving volunteers to identify support and information needs across Somerset. This six month project has been funded by ChangeUp and has focussed on the following:-
- Setting up an informal network of people involved in recruiting volunteers;
- Setting up a peer support group for staff in Volunteer Centres;
- Starting an e-bulletin of news, information and updates on volunteering issues
- Organising training on volunteering related issues
- Mapping and researching volunteer recruitment issues in Somerset
